Where the work happens
OIE is developed on GitHub. Every code change is a public commit. Every bug, feature request, and design discussion is a public issue or discussion thread. Every release ships from a repository you can audit.
Governance
The engine is led by a public Steering Committee and a group of Maintainers, with Contributors at every level. Selection, responsibilities, and decision-making are documented in the governance repository.
An Eclipse Foundation project
OIE is hosted by the Eclipse Foundation, the same stewardship structure that backs Jakarta EE, Theia, and Jetty. The project entered incubation as Eclipse Open Integration Engine, and its name and marks are held by the Foundation rather than by any company. That is long-term institutional openness, not just a friendly license.
